Rome total war 2 best factions4/15/2024 ![]() ![]() There is no single approach political non-involvement (in other words, letting the situation unfold on its own while concentrating on civil and military matters) is not necessarily a bad thing, at least in the short term. This includes military and civil choices that might not seem directly political, such as which generals to appoint, which technologies are researched and how you manage your economy. The choices you make during your campaign affect the influence that each party possesses. Insurrection builds and if a party’s loyalty is too low, it can cause them to secede and declare independence. Loyalty is the key – your goal is to keep other parties happy and loyal to your cause, otherwise they will cause problems in their area of influence. You can interact with any character involved in politics in the Faction Summary tab by promoting them, using underhanded methods such as bribery and embezzlement, adopting them into your family or even taking aggressive action against them.īy carefully managing characters of political importance and engaging in the various political actions available to you, it is possible to establish a firm grip upon the ruling power in your faction. However, not all other parties will sit idle and watch you rule, for they have their own agenda and aspirations. This in turn increases the area of influence your party has throughout your provinces. Many characters in your campaign contribute their gravitas to your party’s political power within your faction. Your faction leader is the head of that party. Hope that justifies my chosing Parthia a bit clearer. When you select a faction, you also take the reins of the ruling party or family within its political system. The Client states will be poor and without a decent military to defend them, pick on the ones which the Selucids break away from until you are strong enough to take them on properly.īest part is a lot of them have valuable resources like silk which will be really profitable in the long run. I think as parthia you could probably take advantage of this without much trouble, they are bound to cause issues for each other and you can sweep up some easy prey. Yes Selucids will be a strong faction but I think they will struggle early on, their client states will likely to end up declaring war on each other and creating a kind of selucid big civil war. Thank you for the map, my opinion is (i may be wrong) that I dont think the client states will be particularly challenging. Ursprünglich geschrieben von Chaunsey:parthia is maybe tough at first, because although its true that you're backed up to the edge of the map, which allows you to isolate and defned yourself well, you start out in the shadow of the seleucids, there are a ton of seleucid client states surrounding you. ![]() To illustrate what im talking about heres the campaign map, i filled in all the seleucid regions and baktria to give you an idea of what the organized opposition to expansion in the region could look like.Īll the gray in the east is what i highlighted, also ignore the egyptian provinces, for some reason the link changed them around some even though i didnt, i only highleted the seleucids and baktria in gray. ![]() so as parthia, you have to maintain a defence from southern invasion, but your best early bet is gonna be to expand north Then you have baktria next door controlling 2 provinces. The seleucids and their client states control 7 entire provinces and about half of 2 more, thats like 30 regions. Parthia is maybe tough at first, because although its true that you're backed up to the edge of the map, which allows you to isolate and defned yourself well, you start out in the shadow of the seleucids, there are a ton of seleucid client states surrounding you. Rome and iceni are definitely good starting factions, as the iceni your isolation will make it relatively easy to conquer the whole of the british isles and build your strength to make inroads into the mainland in full strength. Ursprünglich geschrieben von Fluffy Fishy:Parthia, Rome or Iceni are probably the best begginer factions, they have the easiest starts and can isolate themselves fairly early on. ![]()
